Kurabu 101: How to Run an Anime Club
A downloadable Guidebook
Welcome to the club!
Maybe you’re reading this because you wanna learn more about anime and manga but you’re not quite ready to call yourself a fan…
Maybe you know someone who’s into anime but you’re not sure if you’re comfortable connecting them with an anime club in your area…
Or maybe, like the title suggests, you’re interested in starting your own anime club.
Whatever the reason, this guide should help you.
I started a student organization in my freshman year of college. Before I had even set foot on the campus, I was submitting club forms and researching how to start up an anime club. I quickly found that there was no cohesive answer for how to start a club, and a lot of anime club resources were outdated or nonexistent. So as I was nearing my senior year, writing up this guide became my pet project to eventually pass on to my anime club successor. Now I've illustrated it, put it together in a book format, and made sure to design the layout to be printed or viewed on a digital screen so that anyone out there starting their own club will have this resource.
In this 56-page guide, you’ll find solutions on conquering the rough patches of getting a club up and running, tips on how to market your club, events and activities to keep your members interested, and much more!
While this guide focuses on my experiences being in anime clubs, you might find it useful for whatever club you plan to participate in. At the very least, it should be a solid read.
